This Cofia Y Tranzado (A hanging braid with a head cap) Again, I draw my hair into a pony tail at the nape of my neck, braid my hair and slide it in the tube. I usually do a smaller braid at the foreheadhairline and the comb slips into that, locking into place without sliding down my hair continously. This is made from a strip of linen about 70cm wide and over a metre long with no shaping, except what is giving by the wrapping of the hanging part.
For Tourneys I usually do a square of cotton or linen, one end tied around the head like a bandana the tails of the bandana tying around the hanging end. The hanging end is either wrapped in ribbon and left to hang orcoiled up and around the head in a crown.
You can also wear a hood over your tranzado as I did at Midwinter. I have a velvet headband which I pin the hood to (But I didn't have a long enough pin at midwinter and it kept falling back)
Varous Braid designs are also seen and an assundry other options, I will try to find my spanish book and scan the headcover pages.
