Performance Dance

Performance Dance (Dance Infinia) (005488/9 PRF DNC 7/8 LK) for grades 6 - 8 helps students fine-tune their dance and performance techniques at an advanced level.nbsp; The focus is on the areas of advanced turns, jumps and combinations of jazz, ballet and modern dance styles, in addition to choreography development as the students continue to fine-tune their jazz, ballet, and modern/lyrical techniques at an advanced level. Choreography continues in both solo and in groups, encouraging performance techniques to improve due to memorizing more complex choreography and advanced vocabulary.

• Performances: Disneyland, competitions, community events, concerts and more; participation in performances is part of class grades.
• Prerequisites: Audition tryout is required. Dancers must commit one-year for perfecting advanced technique and performing skills. Students should know advanced fundamentals of jazz, ballet and lyrical dance upon entering this class.
