There are four award winning vocal groups at Castillero Middle School who participate in school concerts, community performances and the spring music festivals. Corey Miller - Vocal Director
Corey Miller is currently in his second year as the choir director at Castillero Middle School. Mr. Miller is trained in classical and theatre voice and received his Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from California State University, Fresno. Mr Miller went on to earn his Masters of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University where he also received his teaching credential. Mr. Miller is an active performer and can be seen on stage with local choirs and musical theatre companies.
Choir's Awards Received:
The choir will be recording a professional CD in May at the George Lucas professional recording studio at the Skywalker Ranch in Marin, CA.

Grades 6-8: For student with little or no singing experience.
Jazz Choir - 004514/5
Grades 6-8: Advanced level singers, promoting the highest caliber in vocal skills and rehearsal discipline.
Concert Chorale – 004516/7 ELC MUS 6-8 LK
Grades 6-8 (00 Period): A large ensemble for singers, developing and refining performance skills at a high level of excellence.
Bel Canto – 004512/13 CHORUS 6-8 LK
Grades 6-8: A small group setting for advanced female singers further refining their skills to attain a higher level of vocal expression.
