Location: Albertus Magnus College, Aquinas Hall This three session course explores three disparate American experiences and the individual and collective American memory that accompanies them. The first session titled: The Last Great Road Trip takes the audience on travels exploring the American continent from Connecticut to Alaska. The second session titled: A Virtual Tour of Arlington National Cemetery: The History of Our Nation Set in Stone explores the history and meaning of the greatest cemetery in the world and the individuals that rest in peace there. The third session: You Must Remember This! History and Memory leads the audience through an exploration of American history and memory, why we remember and why we forget. It explores how we choose to memorialize and remember the great triumphs and tragedies of our history both local and national. All three sessions in this course link the American experience to experience and memory, individually and collectively. Each is a standalone lecture and need not be attended collectively or in
