Hola! Hello! Salut!

My name is Dr. Carolina Bailey.  I am from Cali, Colombia.  

I am a PhD in Second Language Acquisition as well as in Linguistics (University of Wisconsin-Madison).  

I speak Spanish, French, and English.  

I have studied in Colombia, France, Canada, and the US. 

Some of my research interests are:

• • Using Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence in Language classrooms.

  • Acquisition of L2 Spanish 

  • Using theoretical Linguistics to explain L2 learners' language acquisition processes

  • Using both SLA and Linguistics to create pedagogical materials

  • Inclusion of indigenous voices, issues, and history in order to promote representation in college curricula

  • Promoting diversity in the workforce as well as in our classrooms
