BIO-SKETCH

Dr. Hui-Chun Chu is currently a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Management in Soochow University, where she also serves as the chairman. Dr Chu serves as an editorial board member and a reviewer for more than 15 academic journals. Her research interests include mobile and ubiquitous learning, game-based learning, flipped learning, technology-assisted health care education, AI in medical diagnosis and education and knowledge engineering in education. Dr. Chu has published more than 150 academic papers, including 67 academic journal papers, in which 44 papers are published in well-recognized SSCI and SCI journals. Owing to the distinguished academic performance and service in e-learning, she received the Annual Young Scholars Outstanding Researcher Award--Ta-You Wu Memorial Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2014. In addition, she received Outstanding ICT Elite Award in 2020. She also served as the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies (SSCI, Q1) since 2015. She has also served as the guest editor of Interactive Learning Environments (SSCI, Q1) in 2013 and 2016. Moreover, Dr. Chu received the reward of “The top 50 Flipped Learning leaders in higher education worldwide” in 2018.

1. 102-108: was the co-PI of the " High School Mobile Learning Facilitating Project " organized by the Ministry of Education. In the seven years up to the 108th school year, there were 282 counseling schools, 5,260 classes, 139,315 students, 6,971 teachers, and 4,934 action learning lesson plans in Taiwan, including North First Girls' High School, Taichung Girls' High School, Kaohsiung Girls' High School, and National Chengchi University High School.

2. The PI of Ministry of Education's "109 Year Technology-Assisted Self-regulated Learning Promotion and Application Project" and held the competition to select excellent teachers for the "Technology-Assisted Self-regulated Learning" teaching model, in order to develop domestic highlight teachers for self-regulated learning.

3. 102-107, served as the reviewer for the National Primary and Secondary School Action Learning Counseling Program, Ministry of Education.

4. 104-105, served as the reviewer for the Mobile Learning project for the New Taipei City Board of Education.

5. 102-109, serve as the counseling Professor of the Mobile learning and self-regulated learning programs, assisting high school teachers in implementing action learning activities, and providing guidance and feedback.

6. A total of 160 speeches on mobile learning, interactive feedback learning activities, English writing, digital learning and research experiences were given in various locations in Taiwan.

7. 103-109, Training 13 college students to receive the Ministry of Science and Technology's College Student Program.

8. In 103, 105 and 106, a total of four university students were awarded the Ministry of Science and Technology's Research and Creation Award for College Students.

9. 100-109, 29 students graduated with master's degrees.

10. 2015-2019, served as the chair of Taiwan “classroom, ubiquitous, and mobile technologies-enhanced learning” Special Interest Group (CUMTEL SIG)”, and has organized more than 10 inter-university and inter-departmental training programs for professors and graduate students every year, training more than 800 master students.
