Practicalities

Life cannot go forward, except from the place one happens to be.’ Carl G. Jung.

Our first step is to arrange an initial session.

We can then talk with each other, discuss what you'd like to achieve from counselling, and make a start. It’ll also give you an idea of how I work, and an opportunity for you to ask me questions.

If you decide that counselling is for you, and we both feel we can work together, then we can arrange some further meetings. Sessions are usually weekly, at a regular time and location agreed with you, and last for 50 minutes.

My fee is normally £45 per session. Fees are payable at the end of each session, or may be billed monthly by arrangement. A limited number of concessions (depending on your circumstances) may be available.

You can pay via Paypal, electronic bank transfer (BACS) after each session. There may be occasions when you need to cancel, and I’ll try to accommodate you where possible. However, I do ask for at least 48 hours’ notice, or you will be charged for the missed session.

I'm able to offer both short-term counselling - typically 6 or 12 sessions - and open-ended counselling, which continues until you feel ready to stop. We can agree how many sessions feel appropriate when we first meet, and then adjust that to meet your needs as we progress.

The whole process is all about helping you, at your own preferred speed.

Client Comments:

'I am looking forward to finding my path and becoming my own person more and more. Hopefully leaving generational traumas behind. Always staying self-aware and reflective, and working on myself.'

'What I found astonishing, on reflection after each session, was that often I had expressed my feelings (. . .) for the first time. That just by itself has been a massive help.'
