'The past is never dead. It's not even past.' William C. Faulkner.
I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC), as a practitioner of Humanistic and Integrative Counselling. This means that I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches.
My way of working is to tailor my therapeutic approach, depending on your needs and expectations. In my experience one approach doesn’t suit all people, and you may need different levels of support at different times.
I therefore offer brief counselling, as well as more open-ended, longer-term therapy. A decision on the most appropriate approach will be made in discussion with you.
The relationship between you and your counsellor is of paramount importance.
My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment in which to consider and discuss your inner feelings. This allows you to explore and understand difficulties from the past that are shaping your present. Or it can offer a safe space to look at issues clouding your here and now, with the aim to make your future less frightening.
Whatever your concerns, I'll treat them confidentially and empathically. I'm here to help you find a resolution that works for you.
