During my four-year tenure as Chair of the Counseling and Special Populations Department at Lamar, I was able to work with the faculty and administration to accomplish the following:
Developed three online degree programs and had them approved through the state coordinating board.
Developed five professional certificate programs and had them approved through the state coordinating board.
The Department maintained a 93% pass rate during on all state and national exams. This pass rate was far above state-wide averages.
The Department produced 1425 graduates with master’s degrees in counseling since 2011.
The Department was responsible for producing 190,535 student credit hours between 2011 and 2015.
The Department produced over $49 million dollars in tuition revenue since 2011.
The Department produced over $5 million dollars in state formula funding during the 2015 legislative session.
Completed CACREP accreditation self-study (site visit scheduled for April, 2016).
Managed CACREP, NCATE/CAEP, and SACS accreditation requirements for the department.
Worked with existing faculty to hire 20 new full time faculty members and 50 adjunct faculty members
Managed all full and part time faculty members
Conducted annual evaluations of all faculty and staff
Developed a broad range of policies and procedures including memoranda of understanding for field placement.
Managed a $20 million dollar budget
Managed 17 staff members.
Conducted and managed program review process for counseling programs.

The faculty members of the Counseling and Special Populations Department produced the following metrics over the last four years (with each year increasing productivity)
Faculty members in COSP received 9 funded grants totaling $1.89 million with an additional $471,000 already pending for 2016
Five books authored by COSP faculty members were published by Pearson, SAGE, and Wiley. Several of these books are the leading textbooks in the counseling profession. Three additional books in press.
Faculty members in COSP published 69 refereed journal articles
Faculty members in COSP conducted 353 state, regional, and national professional presentations
Faculty members in COSP provided 39 international professional presentation
Faculty members in COSP produced over 10 book chapters
Faculty members in COSP maintained student evaluation ratings at or above college average ratings for each of the four years.
The faculty members of the Department of Counseling and Special Populations have provided ongoing service to college and university committees with all COSP candidates for committees elected to office in 2015.
Faculty members developed over 40 comprehensive online courses that met/exceeded Quality Matters metrics over a four-year period.
Walden University
During my three-year tenure as Director of Doctoral Programs in the School of Counseling and Social Services at Walden University, I was able to work with the faculty and administration to accomplish the following:
Developed an online PhD program in Counselor Education and Supervision which was approved by the Higher Learning Commission.
Grew enrollments to over 500 doctoral students in three years.
Although exact numbers are private, the doctoral programs were responsible for producing over 36,000 credit hours.
The doctoral programs produced over $40 million dollars in tuition revenue.
Completed CACREP accreditation self-study (Program was fully accredited).
Served on the Faculty Experts Bureau and participated in over 700 radio interviews.
Developed Key Performance Indicator assessment process
Developed a faculty qualifications process
Conducted ongoing training with Enrollment Management Services
Recruited and hired core faculty and adjunct faculty members

During my ten-year tenure as a professor at Mississippi State University, I was able to work with the faculty and administration to accomplish the following:
Director of the Counseling Training Lab/Clinic at MSU. Supervised doctoral interns and day to day operations of the clinic. Provided a wide-range of counseling services to the Mississippi State University and Starkville, MS communities.
Developed numerous courses for the PhD program in Counselor Education and Supervision which was accredited by CACREP
Supervised numerous doctoral students and chaired numerous dissertations.
Participated in CACREP accreditation, NCATE, and SACS accreditation.
Served on University Athletic Committee
Served on numerous department and college committees.
Behavioral Research, Assessment,
and Training Services (BRATS)
During my ten-year tenure as owner of BRATS, I was able to accomplish the following:
Developed contracts for behavioral services with Head Start programs and school districts throughout Mississippi
Hired and managed at least 10 clinicians per year
Supervised numerous doctoral and master's students for internship placement in the practice.
Provided over $1 million dollars in in-kind service donation to Head Start.
Developed program evaluation studies for Head Start
Served on Health Services Advisory Board.
