Rudolf Weisse b. 1859
Weisse, an Orientalist painter, was born in Eastern Europe in 1859. In this piece, he has depicted a couched Moor (the only seated figure in the picture), turbaned, garbed in white, with red leather slippers. Studying, while his companions play.
