While critics say the almanac is hokey, folky and many other diminutives, these opinions are usually based on the agricultural aspect. Due to the fluctuations of weather pattern during the 20th century, it can be said--and seen-- that crop yields may not turn out as "promised" by the almanac. At least "crops" in the traditional sense...
Little can be done with respect to the changing atmospheric weather. HOWEVER, there is something to be said about the FINANCIAL weather, the TRAVELING weather, the WEDDING weather, etc.

Use to set your monthly, yearly, seasonal schedule: Find dates for what you are trying to accomplish, then use days/ weeks/ months leading up to that date to prepare.
