Meet Exchange Chinese Librarian, Pan Lan

May 26, 2010.  Ms. Pan Lan, a Librarian from Shanghai Normal University, China was invited to meet with CALA Northeast Chapter members, and give a presentation about Shanghai Normal Library.  Pan Lan is a participant in a Library Exchange Project that City University of New York (CUNY) librarians are conducting with counterparts at Shanghai Normal University and at Shanghai University, China. 

About 40 librarians attended the events.  The presentation was followed by a Q&A sessions, and librarians from both sides exchanged information and ideas about academic library development in China and the U.S. At the end of the event, CALA Northeast Chapter Vice President, Lina Ding presented Pan Lan with a Certificate.  A dinner was hosted in Pan Lan's honor and joined by many CALA Northeast Chpater members.
