The Chinese American Librarians Association’s (CALA) Northeast Chapter invites you to attend an exciting in-person event this year in celebration of the Lunar New Year: the 26th Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival in Chinatown, New York.
The parade officially begins at 1 PM ET, but CALA Northeast members will meet up at 11 AM on Hester Street, between Elizabeth Street and Bowery. Members should arrive at 11:30 AM at latest, as the NYPD will be closing off the route after 12 PM ET. Please see the detailed information on attending the LNY Parade below.
This event is hosted by CALA-Northeast Chapter in collaboration with AANHPI Culture Club at NYPL and APALA-Northeast Chapter.

Sign up to march with AANHPI Library Workers and Bibliophiles in the Lunar New Year Parade & Festival in Chinatown, Manhattan! This group is organized by AANHPI Culture Club at NYPL (ACC ERG), Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA Northeast Chapter), and Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA Northeast). You do not need to be a member of any, as friends and allies are welcome to march with us. RSVP required; space limited. Sign-up is open until Friday, February 16th.

1pm: Parade starts
Please be aware that the parade route is about a mile long. Final details and additional information will be provided closer to the date. If you're interested in bringing a friend, please have them sign up!

Mott & Canal to Chatham Square to East Broadway towards the Manhattan Bridge, completing on Eldridge and Forsyth Streets towards Grand Street next to Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
