Through the invitation of the National Central Library in Taiwan and Sally Tseng’s coordination, three CALA members, Sally Tseng, Charlene Chou and Wen-ying Lu, taught a RDA Workshop at the National Central Library from May 21st to May 23rd, 2013. There are more than 140 librarians attended this workshop and had a great discussion on this new international cataloging standard. The CALA President Esther Lee, Vice-president Carol Gee and former CALA/NE Chapter Chair, Janey Chao also attended the workshop. Esther and Sally presented the CALA’s commemorative plaque to congratulate the 80th anniversary of NCL in the opening session of this workshop. In addition to the workshop, Dr. Tseng Shu-hsien, Director General, National Central Library and President, Library Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan), organized a seminar on May 22nd evening for both the CALA and Library Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan) members to discuss for further collaboration in future.
