June 2014: National convention of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society in Regina. A resounding success!

September 2014: A walking tour of Briercrest College, which 70 years ago was the site of the RAF's 33 Elementary Flying Training School.

October 2014: A chapter road trip to see the P-51Ds being restored in Davidson.

November 2014: Terry Lyons on his time in the RCAF, flying the famous CF-100 interceptor and maintaining the BOMARC missile.

December 2014: Joint Christmas dinner of the Regina Chapter, Canadian Aviation Historical Society, and No. 600 Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force Association: Speaker: Anna Willey and her new PowerPoint presentation on her father's service with the RCAF's wartime 427 (Bomber) Squadron.

September 2015: Walking tour of the STARS (Shock-Trauma Air Rescue Society) hangar at the Regina International Airport.

Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m.: Member Dwight Mercer on his visit to what's one of the finest aviation museums in the world: the U.S. Navy's Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.

Dec. 19, 2016: Joint Christmas banquet with the members of No. 600 (Regina) Wing, Air Force Association of Canada. Dec. 19.

TUESDAY, Jan. 19, 2016: The the chief of staff from 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Lt. Col. Brian Dunsterville. He completed pilot training at 15 Wing Moose Jaw in 1994, completed the CF-18 course in 1997 and was posted to 3 Wing Bagotville with 425 'Alouette' Tactical Fighter Squadron. He deployed to Aviano, Italy, twice to participate in Op ECHO, the 1998 air presence missions over Bosnia, and Op ALLIED FORCE, the 1999 NATO air campaign in Serbia. In 2000, he was posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake as a CF-18 Instructor Pilot at 410 'Cougar' Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron, followed by three years posted to Royal Air Force (RAF) XV (Reserve) Sqn at RAF Station Lossiemouth, Scotland as an exchange IP on the Tornado GR4. Since then, he's had postings with 1 Canadian Air Division HQ in Winnipeg, MB, where he directed numerous CF-18 intercepts against a resurgent Russian Air Force in Canada's high arctic, with NATO during its air campaign over Libya and several others.

Monday, April 18, 2016: Des Brophy, Regina Flying Club alum, former CF-18 pilot, test pilot (on exchange with the USAF at Edwards AFB) and CO of 440 (Transport) Squadron. Des now flies with WestJet.

May 17: Saskatchewan Under Air Attack: Japan’s balloon bomb offensive against North America: a talk by Bill Cameron.

June 14: An Airman’s Story: Gerald Beaton on his late father, Ed Beaton, wartime RCAF navigator and PoW.

Sept. 20: Talk and book-signing by David Waechter, who just published a new book about his father’s work with Avro Aircraft Limited. It’s entitled Flight Test – The Avro Arrow and a Career in Aeronautical Engineering.

Oct. 18, 2016: A tour of Redhead Equipment's hangar at the Regina International Airport.

Nov. 15, 2016: Will Chabun on Saskatchewan stations and aircraft of the wartime British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.

Dec. 10, 2016: Our chapter’s annual joint Christmas banquet with 600 Wing of the RCAF Association. Speaker: MWO Mark Fenton of the flight safety section at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.

January 2017: Regina Airport Authority Dick Graham on the authority's plans for the future.

February 2017: Screening of the Canadian-made documentary film Reunion of Giants, about the 2014 flight to Britain of the Canadian Warplane Heritage flying museum’s Avro Lancaster, where it often flew in formation with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster.

March 22, 2017: Bill Thorn's excellent adventure: from Regina to Dubai (and back) on as many aircraft types and airlines as possible.

April 18, 2017: Will Chabun on RCAF Station Saskatoon — and some of the military training schemes that came before it in the Hub City, plus the little-known "aircraft boneyard" in Saskatoon in the 1960s and '70s.

May 16, 2017: "Yogi" Huyghebaert on flying the F-86 Sabre, the CF-104 Starfighter and the CF-5 in the Canadian Forces.

June 2017: A behind-the-scenes tour of the baggage screening systems at the Regina International Airport.

August 2017: collaborated with the Regina chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association in hosting Vimy Flight and its replica Nieuport fighters.

September 2017: Road trip to the Moose Jaw branch of the Western Development Museum to learn about its new replica of a Vickers Vedette flying boat.

October 18, 2017: A talk and slideshow by Jack Wilkinson, who flew Sabre jet fighters in the RCAF’s European Air Division in the early 1960s — and often took along a camera.

Nov. 3, 2017: "Supper with the Snowbirds" annual event in co-operation with local squadrons of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and 600 Wing of the RCAF Association.

Nov. 15, 2017: Al Bateman on the past, present and future of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA). Al is a long-time CASARA member and has served as a spotter, navigator and in other positions. He is a CASARA assistant zone commander and has done an advanced training course with the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre (JRCC) in Halifax.

Dec. 15, 2017: Christmas banquet — joint project with the RCAF veterans association, this year honouring Jack Boan, a long-time fixture of Regina's intellectual life -- and a Second World War wireless instructor.

January 2018: Scott Greenough, ex-Snowbird and CF-18 pilot who's now manager of CAE's NFTC jet pilot training facility at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.

February 2018: Norm Swayze on his summer fighting forest fires in northern Saskatchewan in a government CL-215T.

March 21, 2018: Les Hinzman on a little-known 1946 aviation tragedy that killed 21 RCAF airmen at Estevan.

April 17, 2018: Will Chabun on the Royal Air Force Museum in north London on the eve of the RAF's 100th anniversary.
