2011 marked the 20th anniversary of the twinning between Caerphilly and Lannion. To mark the event the committees in Lannion and Caerphilly prepared an exhibition comparing everyday life in the two regions between 1850 and 1950.
The exhibition was staged in Lannion during the summer of 2011, with the official open taking place during our biennial visit.
In 2012 the exhibiton was staged in Caerphilly, in the Visit Caerphilly Centre at the Twyn, Caerphilly. The exhibition ran from 2nd to 17th June, opening from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition was open on a request basis for visits by local schools.
Official Opening of the Exhibition 2nd June 2012
The exhibition was officially opened on the 2nd June by the Caerphilly Town Mayor and President of the Association Phil Bevan.
The event was attended by many members of the Association and by a group of 7 visitors from Brittany who were involved in the production and displaying of the exhibition in Lannion in 2011.
