Below are the instructions to create a profile page on your own (if you have a gmail account).

Request Edit Access

First, if you have a gmail.com account, request access to edit the site. Send an email to the Club Webmaster requesting access. For 2019, this is Sher Barns, sbarns73@gmail.com.

How to Create a Member Profile Page

To create a profile page, click on the "Create page" button in the upper right hand portion of the screen. This will cause another page to open. (If you right click on the "Create page" button and select to "Open link in new window," you can switch back and forth between the two pages so you can read these instructions while creating your page!)

In the "Create a new page" screen, the first option is to "Select a template to use." There are three types of page templates listed. The leftmost template says "Member Profile" and it should already be selected/highlighted. The cursor should be flashing in a box to the left which says "Name:". In that box, enter your last name, then put a comma and a space before adding your first name. (for example: "Jacobson, Sue") Once your name is entered, click on the "Create Page" button at the bottom left of the screen.

In a moment, another window will open which should show contact information prompts as well as member profile questions we have created for everyone to answer. Just type responses next to these prompts/questions. Once you have finished editing your member profile page, PLEASE remember to click on the SAVE button at the top right portion of the screen. If you do not do so, all the information you provided on this page will disappear.

Members can choose to do anything they wish to do with their profile pages. Answers can be provided to any and all prompts/questions ... or not! This is each individual member's choice. For ideas on what other members have done with their pages, don't hesitate to browse through them by clicking on member names in the sidebar.

Include Pictures

You can also include pictures. Place the cursor where you want the picture. Click Insert, then Image and follow the prompts to upload an image (picture). Your picture should be highlighted, so click Open, and the picture will appear at the spot of your cursor.

When you hover over the picture you will see a toolbox allows you to change the size (S,M,L) and the wrap. Usually, you will make the picture small and wrap text around it.

How to Edit a Member Profile Page

One can edit one's member profile page at any time by clicking on one's name in the sidebar to get to the page itself. Once the page is open in your browser, click on the "Edit Page" button found on the upper right hand side of the screen. Once the edit process is complete, don't forget to hit that "Save" button! We would ask that members please not edit anyone else's information without their permission!

In edit mode, photos can easily be added to profile pages by first placing the cursor where one would like an image to appear. Next click on the "Insert" command to the left in the menu bar across the top of the page which is being edited. The first option is "Image." By clicking on this option, one will be asked to either (1) "Choose a file" from one's computer or (2) choose an image by providing a link to said photo on the internet. To upload a file from one's computer, browse to find the photo and then click on Open or Save. Select the newly uploaded photo and click on the "OK" button. A photo options box will next appear. If needed, this is the place to change the size of one's photo so that it fits on the screen appropriately. Those selecting option 2 to add a photo by providing a link on the internet probably know what to do. If there are further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
