1. Processes of second language acquisition (I am specifically looking at the "big picture" over an extended period of time using ethnographic methods, i.e., not things like aquiring certain morphemes in the short term using tests)

2. Extensive reading, extensive listening, and extensive watching

3. Story as a facilitator for language acquisition

4. Autonomous learning, mindset, and motivation

5. Language maintenance

6. Second language use in interaction
