Module 8

Module Eight (29108-15) introduces the trainees to the selection, classification, and use of electrodes for arc welding. Trainees will become familiar with the various types of electrodes, their uses, identification, handling, and proper storage.

a. Describe the AWS filler metal specification system and various electrode characteristics.

b. Describe the characteristics of the four main electrode groups.
