Level I to Level I
For an educator who has practiced for less than three years in the endorsement area
License is valid for 3 years.
Upload requirements:
Documentation of 45 credit hours of professional learning
15 credit hours must be specific to the endorsement and PL activity descriptions should include relevant knowledge and performance standards.
The remaining 30 hours can be more broadly earned but should be applicable to the VT educator Core Teaching and Leadership Standards.
A transcript, certificate (with hours listed), or Documentation of Professional Learning form signed by an administrator is required for documentation of all PL activities.
Documentation of any special credentials or Additional Requirements for Specific Endorsement(s) (see Resources page)
Completed Criminal Record Check if necessary

Level I to Level II (Transition)
For an educator who has practiced for three years in the endorsement area

For an educator who has an expiring Level II license
License is valid for 5 years.
Upload requirements:
Documentation of 90 credit hours of professional learning
30 credit hours must be specific to the endorsement and PL activity descriptions should include relevant knowledge and performance standards.
The remaining 60 hours can be more broadly earned but should be applicable to the Core Teaching and Leadership Standards for Vermont educators.
A transcript, certificate (with hours listed), or Documentation of Professional Learning form signed by an administrator is required for documentation of all PL activities.
