DECA enables you to learn real world marketing through Competition!
DECA Competition gives students the opportunity to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to real world situations through role plays, presentations, market research, writing business plans, community service and public relation projects.
DECA also provides students networking opportunities with business and community leaders throughout the local area, state, and country.
DECA looks great on college and job applications. DECA also awards students over $1,000,000 in scholarships each year.
How do I join DECA?
To join DECA you need to be enrolled in any marketing or personal finance class with Mr. Bunton, Mr. Nixon, or Mr. Kirk at some point during the school year.
The Pioneer School of Business currently offers 4 Marketing courses:
- StartUp!
- Introduction to Marketing
- Advanced Marketing/Marketing Internship (College Credit)
- Entrepreneurship (College Credit)
- Personal Finance
- Computer Applications 1 & 2
(These courses are available to Grades 9-12. Freshman should take Startup!)
