27 Students Qualify for State at Districts in 2019
The 2019 Missouri District 9 Regional DECA competition was held at St. Louis University on February 7th. Kirkwood High School had 50 students compete in both individual and team events. Students who place in the top four or higher of each event are elected the opportunity to continue competing on the state level. Of Kirkwood's 50 students competing, 27 qualified for the state competition.
State Finalists
The 71th annual Missouri State DECA competition was held in Kansas City. 20 Kirkwood students competed among hundreds of other state qualifiers. Jack Rintoul, Alex Talir, Matthew Hartmann, Cameron Macon, Catherine Butler, Patrick Fuchs, David Easter, Rylee Arns, Grace Hartman, Poppy Rost, and Ryan Sweeney were are State Finalists or Winners qualifying them for the international competition.
