WEATHER TRENDS AROUND THE WORLD

Weather, climate, humidity and temperature can also play a large part in deciding where to go on holiday .

The world temperature map above can help you determine what areas of the world will be comfortable for you to travel to.

Any one who feels uncomfortable in particularly high or low temperatures or high levels of humidity need to check these aspects of the weather before making their final choice of destination.

Knowing what type of weather you will be experiencing whilst away can also act as a guide to choosing the correct clothing, shoe wear, sunscreen and insect repellent for a holiday.

Certain individuals with heart, lung or breathing problems may find very hot countries or those with a high humidity rate, problematic for their conditions.

People who travel to very hot countries from cool or temperate regions might do well to consider a few days of acclimatisation beneficial, before undertaking any strenuous activities, or before spending long periods outdoors in the heat.

When travelling to a hot country always remember to drink plenty of water, not fizzy drinks, and to use sun block.

Do not keep skin exposed for long periods in the bright sunlight and pay particular care to the shoulders, or spend too long sunbathing on the beach or by a poolside.

Don't be fooled by cloud, the sun is still strong and you can burn even under dense cloud in a hot country.

Wear some form of head covering if you are going to spend long hours sightseeing or out on daily excursions.

Remember to wear protective clothing if travelling to very cold regions, particularly taking great care to cover the extremities, fingers, toes and head.

Wear sunglasses to protect the eyes in any bright sun light, whatever the temperature of the area.

Very dry climates be they in hot or cold countries can result in the drying out of skin, hair and nails so take moisturising skin and hair products away with you.
