Crosscut two pieces. One at 17 ¾” and the other at 6 ¼”. Joint the two pieces by removing the under portion of the crown. Mark your boards with an X.
On the table saw put the X to the fence and cut the boards into 2” strips. Make sure your crown is facing out.
Remove a blades width from one end of the 2” strips. Cut the other end to the appropriate lengths. Consult your cut list for these sizes.
To assemble the drawer shelf you will need, glue, a drill, dowel jig with ¼” stoper bit, wooden mallet and dowels.
Mark and drill your 5 ¼” pieces. Transfer you mark to your 16 ¾” pieces. Be sure to label them with numbers. Drill your 16 ¾” stock.
Glue and insert your dowels in the 16 ¾” stock. Match and attach the 5 ¼” stock to the appropriate numbers.
Clamp the drawer shelf using the tube clamps. Square the drawer shelf.
