Find the total length of all your drawer pieces. Sides + Front and Back = ?? Rough Cut a piece of stock at this length. After plane your stock down to 1/2".
Find the crown of your stock and remove it by cutting off a blades width on the table saw. Rip cut your stock to width. This cut will also remove the under portion of your crown.
Square one end of your stock on the mitre saw. Cut your pieces sides and front/back to length.
Next cut a rabbet in your drawer sides. Set-up the dado saw so that the dado blade is 1/4" high and 1/2" of the blade is showing (note: you will be hiding some of the dado blade under the fence).
Next cut a groove in your drawer sides and front/back. Set-up the table saw so that the blade is 1/4" high and the fence is 1/2" from the blade. (note: you can use your rabbet cut side to set the blade height).
On the sleigh you will square two sides of your drawer bottom, mark the two sides with an X. Next go to the table saw and cut your drawer bottom to width and length.
Assemble your drawer (note: use the stapler and glue. Only glue the rabbet joints! do not apply glue to the groove cut).
Drill a 3/16 hole 3" from the edge in the middle of your drawer. Hammer a 1" nail through the drawer beside the 3/16" hole. The nails allow the face to be hung on to the drawer so that it can be levelled on the bookshelf. Attach the drawer Face with 1" with deck screws. ( you will have to cut and plane a drawer face to size, see your plans.
