Scouts have opportunities to attend the BSA high adventure camps. Most camps have a minimum age of 14 but some Sea Base activities start at age 13
Philmont Scout Ranch offers programs that feature the Old West—horseback riding, burro packing, gold panning, chuckwagon dinners, and interpretive history. Also offers activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, and sport shooting . This is for Scouts 14 years and older.

Sea Base operates 18 different adventures out of five locations: two in the Florida Keys, two in the US Virgin Islands, and one in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. They offer activities such as Sailing, Scuba Diving, Stem and Fishing.

Scouts from Northern Tier’s three wilderness canoe bases explore millions of acres of lakes, rivers, forests and wetlands in Northern Minnesota, Northwest Ontario and Northeast Manitoba. Most Trips range in length from 6-14 days and usually include between 50-150 miles of wilderness travel. This camp has a 14 year old age limit.
