Decide on an Eagle Scout Project
Preliminary discussion with beneficiary to confirm project will work.
The Scout to meet with the Scoutmaster to discuss to make sure project is Eligible for an Eagle Scout Project. Sign up for meeting.
Complete Project Plan Proposal in the Eagle Scout Workbook
(Note: The Workbook has a Proposal, a Plan and a Report. They are all completed at different phases of the project.)

Scout needs to sign the Project Proposal
Get your project approved by your Beneficiary and have them sign the signature page of the project proposal
The Scout needs to obtain the Scoutmaster and the Committee Chair Signatures for project approval. Sign up for meeting.
Attend Roundtable to have the project reviewed by the District / Council. Once they have signed this you may begin work on your project.
NOTE: (Check for Roundtable dates on the NorthStar District Website Calendar for dates. Please note it is not uncommon for the dates to be changed so check occasionally or talk to troop members if you plan on attending one)
NOTE: You can not start your project until all above steps are completed and signature is obtained by the District Advancement Chair.
Complete Project Plan section of the Eagle Scout Project Workbook
Complete fundraising form if raising any monetary funds ( not applicable for donations by family/friends, Troop, or funds raiser through beneficiary) and obtain approvals for this if this applies. This form must be signed by the Unit Leader ( Scoutmaster ), and the Council Office.
Complete Fundraising and Project based on your project plan
IMPORTANT: Be sure to track time, budget, receipts, etc.
Once project is completed, complete the Project Plan Report in the Eagle Scout Project Workbook
The Scout needs to obtain completion signature form your Beneficiary
The Scout needs to obtain Scoutmaster Signature to complete your project
Write Life Goals and Ambition letter
Ensure all other requirements for Eagle has been met
Leadership Requirements
Scout Spirit
Send out Letters for Scout Spirit Recommendations (These are sometimes referred to as Reference Letters).

NOTE: The recommendation letters should be mailed to the Unit Advancement Chair. Put the scout's name somewhere on the return label. The letters are not read by the scout and are only intended to be read by the Eagle Board of Review members.
All Merit Badges are completed
Project is completed
All other Eagle Requirements have been met
Complete Eagle Scout Application
Can be generated from Scoutbook once all is completed
Under Scout profile in Scoutbook, go to Reports and select Eagle application.
Note: Highly suggested to fill it out this way. No need to handwrite or go look up all the info. It auto fills most items.
Complete Scoutmaster Conference
Obtain all signatures on your Eagle Application from Troop
Scoutmaster
Committee Chair
Take completed application to HOAC Council office to have Council signature completed
NOTE: Recommended to call them before you drive there but most of the time they have several members available to review. If there is someone available it takes less than 10 minutes to review.
Attend Roundtable to get final District Signature
Get with the Troop Advancement Chair once all signatures have been obtained and the Board of Review scheduled.
Complete District Led Eagle Scout Board of Review
NOTE: (The troop advancement Chair and the Council Board Rep will sign the Eagle Application at the end of the Board of Review)
25. Turn in final paperwork to the Council Office to receive Eagle Certificate.
26. Get with the Troop Committee to plan and complete a Court of Honor.
