Creation versus evolution
In grade school one year I had a problem with a question on a test. The question was "How many Ice ages were there?" The teacher said I had answered it wrong, so I asked her what the correct answer was. I was surprised by her answer and said, "The teacher last year said there was a different number of ice ages". To that she admitted, "We do not know how many ice ages there were". How can we be tested on, and be told something is a fact, when we do not even know the facts? If it is just made up, then it is less than a religion.
I was raised in the Methodist church and when it came time for membership class, my teacher advised against me becoming a member. I was too much of a "trouble maker". The Pastor took me anyway and when I was presented with the story of how Jesus died for my sins, I shortly thereafter accepted him as my Savior. The rest of the class seemed to think it was just a fairy tale. How it is that I had little trouble accepting Christ, but big problems with evolution? One is thoroughly documented in the Bible and history, the other is made up by "scientists", is directly contradicted by history, and is little more than educated guesses.
As teacher after teacher and now PBS tried to shove evolution down my throat, all I did was see more problems with it. For example, recently on PBS they had a special that included information about the leaf cutter ant. It turns out that they use Penicillin to keep mold from growing on their leaf collection. This troubled scientist because they could not see how that in over 2 million years of evolution the mold had not evolved resistance to the penicillin. Their solution was that the ants had evolved the penicillin to keep up with the evolution of the mold!
Evolution is just the false religion of Atheism dressed up in new clothes. Maybe we should refer to it as "Atheistic Evolution". That might help set the record straight. Evolution has got to be a religion because when its followers are directly contradicted by the facts they overide the facts to keep believing it evolution.
The picture to the right is what happens when you drop a couple of powerful alnico magnets into a shallow glass pan of water. The water will refuse to cover the magnets. Instead it will stand up in a wall for up to nearly 1/2 an inch around the edges of the magnets. You can draw the water across the magnets with your finger but then it pulls right back. You might call it the "red sea" effect. Some believe that a powerful magnetic field could sustain a canopy of water or ice over the world. This is called the "canopy theory" and the breaking of that canopy caused Noah's flood. A second theory is that under the ground, where the oceans now are, there were huge amounts of water that also spewed up adding to the flood.
My beliefs
All of my information on creation versus evolution represents my own research. However I have recently viewed some others work and was amazed at the similarity to mine. One of these is Kent Hovind of Dr Dino.com. He has some really great teaching! I highly recommend his video called "Lies in the textbooks". I agree with about 90% of what he teaches. My biggest disagreement is both fundamental and astronomical. I believe the universe is still expanding. In the old testament there are 6 references to God "spreading out the heavens". Scientist's have verified that the universe is expanding. Kent says it is not so. I was really confused untill I remembered that Kent is a fundamental Baptist. They believe God retired 2,000 years ago and does not do anything today. So God could not be creating planets or stars and he cannot be spreading out the heavens. Sorry that violates both science and scripture!
I have been showing Kent Hovind's videos at church on Sunday evenings. It only costs $100 to buy the entire set of seven video's and a notebook. The Notebook is not well organized for taking notes as you follow the video. I have also added some of my own notes. Also there are several ways I disagree with Ken, the universe is expanding, the King James version is not the best Bible (I use NKJV or NIV), Christians should not carry guns, and Baptists are not the best (although I once attended a Baptist church untill I was kicked out).

DNA Evidence

Now they are saying that the DNA evidence proves evolution. It is commonly said that "If you tell a lie enough times people will come to believe it". But if you look into the facts about the DNA you will find the opposite to be true. The DNA evidence shows that all life forms have a common string of DNA. Evolutionists say that proves that we all evolved from the same single cell creature. Well first of all, that common string of DNA is not a creature, there is not nearly enough DNA to make any kind of living thing. But just ask yourself, how after 12 billion years of evolution, that common strand of DNA is still totally identical and shows no evidence of evolution? As you study the DNA you will find it is like tinker toys, you put together one set of a few dozen strings, and you have one animal, you change an entire string, and now you have another animal. If you try to make a partial change the resulting animal is not viable, it cannot live or reproduce.
Another problem with the DNA is it's complexity and its order of complexity. In Darwin's day it was thought that cells were just a collection of chemicals. Now we know that DNA controls the cells, and that DNA is so incredibly complex that the DNA of a person, if printed out on paper, would fill several floors of an office building with solid paper and there would be no room to walk. You might also assume that man being the most "advanced" creature would have the most complex DNA. You would be entirely wrong, some plants have more DNA that we do.
Historical Evidence
I prefer to look at the historical writings to gain a perspective on the facts. These are well documented in all the countries of the world, except the United States where we replaced the natives without saving much of their history. For instance we all believe that there were knights in shinning armor that rode horses and had spears nearly 16 foot long. Then we hear the stories of them fighting "dragons" and say that those are "fairy tales". We all have seen the Chinese parades with paper "dragons" and may have heard stories of them once being alive in the parades. The Chinese even had a job title of "dragon feeder". If you search the Internet you will find thousands of links to stories and fossil evidence proving that man and dinosaur once coexisted. Evolution, even though it does not need for the dinosaurs to be extinct before the evolution of man, insists against all historical and scientific evidence, that that is true. You just have to accept it on "Faith", thus making evolution a religion!

Here are examples of texts, one from 1250 AD and one that is over 2 thousand years old and both clearly describe "dinosaurs"
"Here are seen large serpents, ten paces in length, and ten spans in girth of the body. At the fore-part near the head, they have two short legs, having three claws like those of a tiger, with eyes larger than a fourpenny and very glaring. The jaws are wide enough to swallow a man, the teeth are large and sharp, and their whole appearance is so formidable, that neither man, or any kind of an animal, can approach them without terror." "In the day-time, by reason of the great heat, they lurk in caverns, from whence, at night, they issue to seek their food, and whatever beast they meet with and can lay hold of, whether tiger, wolf, or any other, they devour; after which they drag themselves towards some lake, spring of water, or river, in order to drink. By their motion in this way along the shore, and their vast weight, they make a deep impression, as if a heavy beam had been drawn along the sands." -The Adventures of Marco Polo, Page 104 (He continues to tell how they killed them, and of a medicine made from them)

When faced with these historic facts the evolutionists have adopted some really stupid responses. As far as the historic evidence they currently have two solutions. One is that the knights were really hoaxers that convinced the ignorant people that they had killed a dragon by making fake dragons that they claimed to have killed. The problem with this is that the people of the towns had seen the dragon alive and it was killing people. How could the knight know what the dragon looked like to make a fake one, and why did the dragon stop killing people unless the knight did in fact kill it? Their second response is that the hoaxers dug up the bones of dinosaurs, put them together and figured out what they looked like. This is hard to believe since modern scientists have a hard time putting the bones together. The first tyrannosaurus was put together upside down, with the head on the tail end and with the wrong head altogether! Here is an interesting thought. Some of the knights donated the dragon to the town museum. Where did the remains eventually end up? Is there a stuffed dragon in someone's closet somewhere?
Archeological Evidence
It is well known that in Texas they found what appears to be dinosaur footprints next to mans footprints. They argue these footprints are flawed. Well it only takes a second of searching to find that these footprints next to each other have also been found in Utah, New Mexico, and in many other states. Then they argue that the dinosaur bones are not found next mans bones. Well almost anyone knows that man has always buried their bones. However in Florida they have found their bones together and they also found a man made weapon capable of killing a dinosaur! There was even a PBS show on it.
Recently on PBS they showed a weapon that the American Indians had and used. It is called a spear thrower or Atlatl. A similar weapon was also used in Australia. When they tested it on bails of hay they discovered that it could penetrate 10 bails of hay, compared to one bail of hay for a bow and arrow. This weapon was clearly designed to bring down big if not huge animals. Why would American Indians have such a weapon? The tip on it was as much as 9 inches long by itself, it is called a Clovis point.
When the Spanish attacked the native South Americans they discovered that their spear throwers could launch a spear with enough force to penetrate their armor and pin the person to the ground! This weapon, contrary to what evolutionists teach, was still in use into the 1600's. Until the Spanish arrived what were they doing with this weapon? Evolutionists say that they were used to kill wolly mammoths in the ice ages.
My theory is that the vikings arrived here first. They found dragons here and promptly left. Maps from Columbus's day show a continent on the left side with dragons pictured on that land. The Native Americans lived in caves and hillsides until they killed off all of the dragons. Then they moved out unto the plains. When Columbus arrived the dragons were all dead. Archeologists have no explaination as to why the cave dwellers disappeared.
PBS had another special to show how the early Americans had food storage places on hilltops that were almost impossible to access. There were cliffs on all sides. There were some dwelling places also found in that same area. Why were they storing their food in places that were really dangerous to get to? What were they trying to protect it from?
Astronomical evidence
Now we will consider the universe, the stars speak of the majesty and power of God. I have a friend that worked for Kodak on the Hubble and he can tell first hand how discoveries in the universe have caused some of his coworkers to believe in God.
The Big bang, No bang, Re bang Theory

Next there is the "Big bang" theory. The Hubble telescope revealed that the universe is expanding rapidly, in fact too rapidly. How could a big bang 13 billion years ago provide enough energy to keep the universe expanding for all of this time? If you run the expansion rate backwards within less that a million years you have nothing. So to fit in the time supposedly needed for evolution there has to have been a big pause. I call this theory the big bang, no bang, re bang theory. What they say is that the universe started with a big bang, but then it hung for 13 billion years balanced between the force of gravity that wanted it to collapse and the force of anti-gravity that wanted it to expand. Finally the anti-gravity won out and it started expanding again.
If that is so then many laws of physics would have to be done away with. However if God himself created the big bang, (He spoke) then it all makes sense. There would be no need for 13 billion years for evolution. He created the universe and is still holding it together, or should I say still putting energy into it to keep it expanding. "He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at his discretion." -Jeremiah 10:12.
The big bang theory is busted. Thanks to the Hubble telescope we now know that the universe is still expanding. Planets, solar systems, etc are still being created! Who or what force of "evolution" could be creating them?
Dark energy and Dark matter

Depending on where you look, the universe has far more dark or invisible matter and energy that it has visible matter and energy. According to map.gsfc.nasa.gov, Dark matter makes up 23% of the universe and dark energy makes up 73%. Another site, osti.gov, says that stars make up only .5% of the universe, dark matter is 29% and dark energy is 66% of the universe. They do agree that 96% of the universe is made up of a matter and energy that is still invisible and undetectable.
So what is Dark Energy? According to Nasa.gov "We don't know. We know how much there is, and we know some of the properties it must have. Other than that, dark energy is a mystery..."
I say they are almost admitting that God exists and that He is still at work in the universe! This source of energy and matter must be over 100 times bigger that the visible universe, perhaps just existing in a different dimension. If matter and energy was just being randomly released, then the universe would self destruct. Someone has to be controlling the releasing of energy and the creating of planets! So not only is God bigger than the universe, but He is still in control of the universe. My friends God is not dead! He is still creating planets, he is still creating solar systems, he is still creating galaxy's, He is still in control! If God is still creating planets, how can you think that He cannot heal you? How can you think He cannot help you?
Our Solar System
Lets apply the some astronomical facts to our solar system. If you go back a million years the Sun will just about touch the earth. Is that a little to hot for you? If you go forward a million years the sun will just about burn out. Where does the energy come from to keep the sun shining? Why do the planets keep revolving at the same speed. Would not this revolution slow down with time? You cannot keep a satellite in orbit without adding energy to it.
Medical evidence
Doesn't medicine prove evolution? Have you heard that the overuse of antibiotics has caused germs to evolve? Some Christian doctors even accept this false form of evolution. The truth can be seen in MSRA. Methacillin Resistant Strep has existed from the beginning. At first only 10% was resistant, now 50% is resistant. Why? The most resistant strains have become the most common strains. Note the resistant strains were existent from the beginning, they did not evolve!
How can the use of Penicillin, an antibiotic that has existed for 2 billion years, according to the evolutionists, suddenly cause germs to evolve? Well another key to the puzzle started during World War II. Shortages of antibiotics like quinine led the development of synthetic versions. As soon as the synthetic drugs were introduced germs started "evolving". Now all we use is synthetic drugs. These make big money for the drug companies, but synthetic drugs are NEVER as effective as the natural versions. For instance, natural Quinine is from tree bark, it is effective against virus' bacteria and parasites. The synthetic versions are mostly only effective against parasites.
In order to simplify the synthetic drugs they only use the parts of the natural drug that is effective against the bug that they are trying to kill. Take, for instance, aspirin. It is now just silactic acid. It used to be made from willow tree bark and likely had more antibiotic properties. I am sure there are a lot more ingredients found in willow tree bark than just silactic acid, but the acid is what helps reduce pain so that is all they use today. This has resulted in a drug that is dangerous for long-term use.
String Theory
What is string theory? This is a theory that consolidates many theories, mostly in math, into one theory about what everything is made out out of. According to this theory, the smallest possible part things are made out of are "vibrating strings of energy". I LOVE this theory! In genesis God spoke the world into existance. What is speach? Vibrating strings of energy! (I am sure that is not what those who believe in string theory meant, but it works.)
However there is a serious problem or flaw in this string theory. According to PBS;
"Our universe is kind of like a finely tuned machine. Scientists have found that there are about 20 numbers, 20 fundamental constants of nature theat give the universe the charteristics we see today....As long as we set the dials on our universe machine to precisely the right values for each of these 20 numbers, the machine produces the universe we know and love. But if we change the numbers by adjusting the settings on this machine even a little bit...the consequences are dramatic.... So what exactly in nature sets the values of these 20 constants so precisely?"
I can answer that! They think it is something in another dimension, they are right, it is GOD. You see the string theory needs someone at the controls. As the universe grows the 20 adjustmetns must be kept fine tuned to prevent the whole universe from unraveling. Of course God did not promise he would keep this universe in perfect operation forever.
Also string theory predicts several other dimensions. Perhaps they are the Spirit world, Heaven, and Hell amoung others. Other dimensions are not a problem, and dimensions that exist outside of time or location are not a problem. It would allow God to exist everywhere at the same time and yet not be limited by time. That leads to some interesting thoughts. If God exists outside of time can he change what happened years ago? Or is history something that can be revisited but cannot be changed?
Multiple Definitions of evolution
What is my definition of evolution? The definition of evolution has evolved from proven facts, to a religion accepted on faith, to what is so funny that it is hard to not take it as a joke. Evolutions like to change the definition so they can confuse you into beliveing in evolution.
Simultaneous evolution (micro evolution). This is what Darwin observed in nature. All dogs evolved from one set of dogs. All cats evolved from one set of cats. This is supported in science. This form of evolution would not require dinosaurs to be extinct before man would evolve, it allows for all creatures to exist at the same time. This would be hard to disprove scientifically. At some point Darwin then proposed that given enough time it might be possible to evolve from one creature into another. This would require enormous amounts of time. There would be lots of bones left of all of the variations needed for all of those billions of years.
Sequential evolution (macro evolution). This is a proposed theory that one creature evolved, then another creature evolved. This process is referred to as the age of dinosaurs, the age of mankind, etc. One assumption is that two dominant creatures cannot exist at the same time. This is not supported by scientific or historical evidence. Human bones and artifacts have been found in layers predating dinosaurs, and historic records are full of dinosaurs. Without scientific evidence this form of evolution can only be accepted by faith, it is a religion. They claim Darwin as their founder, but I think even Darwin knew that dinosaurs coexisted with man.
Multiple sequential evolutions. This is what the evolutionists are starting to propose. They are now claiming that each dinosaur has it's own age. The tyrannosaurus rex lived at a separate time from a brontosaurs, that lived in a separate time from a stegosaurus. When I first heard this I though it was just someone's idea of a joke. The evolutionists consider it to be truth, but in my opinion this is just a joke. It is totally contradicted by historic and scientific evidence. It is funny that intelligent humans would believe something so absurd.
Evolution is a theory. There is a fight going on today over posting notes in textbooks stating that "Evolution is a theory". The evolutionists want evolution to be recognized as a fact. The creationists want to remind us that it is just a theory, and a bad one at that. The evolutionist refer to the theory of gravity, mathematical theories, etc, are all known to actually be facts, so why not evolution? Actually the theory of gravity is not very well proven. So far over 100 top scientists and professors have signed a protest letter to state that they do not accept evolution as being a fact.
I want a bumper sticker that states, "Evolution is Dead".
What is going to happen to evolution? Someday people will say, "Are you so old as to still believe in evolution?" The historic evidence that man and dinosaurs (called dragons) coexisted is overwhelming. In fact the evidence is growing that they may still exist today. Every few years another extinct creature is found to be still alive. Natives of the Congo and Brazil report that the brontosaurus is still living in the jungle. Sooner or later the overwhelming scientific evidence will overcome the religious bias of the evolutionists.
The dangers of accepting evolution
What does it matter weather we believe in Creation or evolution?
If you believe in evolution then you believe the following.
We are an accident.
Life is a coincidence.
You are here because two genes happened to get together.
Life has no purpose.
Life has no meaning.
You could have been aborted.
There are too many people and euthanasia and genocide are solutions.
The first people evolved from monkeys in Africa.
White people are far more evolved.
We need to get rid of lesser-evolved people (Hitler, White Supremacy)
If you believe in creation then you believe the following.
God is alive.
He created everything.
He created life for a purpose.
He created you for a reason.
You are here today for a reason.
Your life has value, meaning and purpose.
No one should be aborted, or euthanized.
Life started in the Middle East and separated into the races.
White man is no more evolved than a black man.
All men are created equal (US constitution).
Think about this, where did man supposedly first evolve from a monkey? Maybe in Africa? What would his skin color be? Likely it would black? Do you realize that if you accept evolution then you must also accept white supremacy, the arian race, black slavery, and a host of other evils! Hitler and others were just trying to help "evolution" along. They believed they needed to do away with genetically older less evolved people. DNA evidence has recently proved these theorys to be false. A tribe in Africa claimed to be descendents from Isreal. But they are black! Then DNA tests were run and guess what? They ARE descended from Israel! That means that Blacks are MORE "evolved". I think I just heard Hitler roll over in his grave.
Once accepted as fact, Evolution goes on to make man just a mere accident, abortion the cure for the accident, and on and on it goes. Life becomes meaningless and worthless. When there is no law anything becomes legal. Now we have legalized abortion, alcohol, gambling, etc. Where will it all end? Maybe with the fall of mankind. When any nation turned its back on God, God turned his back on them.
Actually I believe just the opposite! I believe the church of God will rise up and overthrow the proponents of evolution! I believe there will be a big revival that will turn this nation and the world back to believing in God! Just as Communism was overthrown, (communism is based on evolution) the next thing to be overthrown is evolution! My friends evolution will fall just like the walls surrounding East Germany and Russia have fallen.
