Another one of my favorite games is Massive Darkness 2. It is the perfect "chill" dungeon crawling game: The players roll lots of dice, kill lots of monsters, and have fun. :-)
Each class within the game has a unique mechanic, and the Ranger class features a "push your luck" card drawing minigame. The ranger has 24 "arrow cards", and each card has 1-4 arrows on it. Whenever the ranger makes a ranged attack one of these cards is flipped over; the goal is to reach 7 arrows without going over. (The ranger receives small benefits for being under 7, large benefits from reaching exactly 7, and small penalties for going over 7.)
It occurred to me that this minigame is essentially a one-deck Blackjack variant, and hence standard card counting techniques can be used. So I (and ChatGPT) threw together this quick little web app for card counting!
