These are activities I have written for various educational needs in my lab. Some are meant for a classroom setting, others are more flexible. For the most part, each zipped file contains everything you need to do the activity, in a digital format. Some require other props, such as a cash box, a die, etc. All of them involve some printing. Most include instructions for how they work, though the completeness of those instructions depends on how much free time I had when I wrote that particular activity.
All of these are zipped, you can unzip with a free program such as 7-zip (here http://www.7-zip.org/ )

DIVA-GIS Climate Envelope Modeling
In this activity, students will learn to do their own climate envelope modeling for a variety of vertebrate species, and explore how current and future climate effect the distribution of animal species. High school students have no problem with this, it will work for college students, or middle school with more preparation.
This is a classroom activity. It requires each group (or individual) to have access to a relatively new computer. Each computer needs to have the following program (free) installed: http://www.diva-gis.org/
This one does not have written out instructions for teachers yet, it should be self-explanatory from the directions. If you have questions, please ask me!

Indicator Species/Watershed
Students learn about using indicator species to measure ecosystem disruption. Appropriate for middle and high school students, or as a component for college students.
This is a classroom activity. It requires each group (or individual) to have one twelve sided die, a game board and cards (images provided, will need to be printed).

Ecosystem Services
This can be done in the classroom or at large public gathering. The provided posters are plain, as the ones with a lot of brightly colored background images were too large to easily share.
