Directions

If you are a raptor, follow the Skyline Drive from the North to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Do not go down the Alleghenys, the Shenandoah Valley, or the Piedmont - they are not raptor friendly areas.

If you are humanoid and walking, follow the Appalachian Trail. We usually have food and water. We are between Daleville and Boblett's Gap.

If you are travelling by wheels of some kind, we are at Mile Marker 95.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are coming from Roanoke, you can get on the Parkway from Route 220, from Mill Mountain, from Route 24 or from Route 460. Once on the Parkway, go North toward the Peaks of Otter. Harveys Knob is about 10 miles from Route 460. From Bedford or Buchanan, get on Route 43 and head to the Peaks and then go South to MM 95.5.

If travelling by a powered plane, UFO or experimental aviaform, please note that the parking area is not very large. Flying by other means, the ranger informs us, is punishable by $10,000 and 6 months in jail.

If swimming, beware of the Ospreys.
