We are a diverse group of people interested in all of the various aspects of rocketry, from scale models to large high power rockets. We have members from Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. What brings us together is the desire to learn, teach, and enjoy rocketry. Our members belong to NAR, Tripoli, and occasionally also CAR.
SPARKY MOTORS - Because Our launch site is grassland, on BLM property, we do not allow the use of sparky motors. The only time we'll make an exception is when we're extremely well protected against fire, such as by standing snow.
OFF-ROAD VEHICLE TRAVEL - Off-road vehicle travel is also forbidden by the terms of our agreement with BLM. You may drive on established trails, but while on BLM property, do not drive off the trails.
INSURANCE REQUIRED BLM requires that our launches be covered by organizational insurance. The two organizations that provide such insurance in the United States are Tripoli Rocketry Association and the National Association of Rocketry. We are associated with both. Both organizations provide insurance for their members, but understandably they do not insure adults who are not members. This means that any adults who wish to fly rockets with us must belong to one or the other of these organizations. Under the Tripoli rules, children who are not members or the NAR or Tripoli may launch with us as long as they are supervised by a member and Tripoli will still insure our launch.
HIGH POWER ROCKETRY CERTIFICATION - Our club can help you become certified for high power rocketry. We have one NAR L3CC member and two Tripoli TAPs.
