Gandhi Ni Kavad

"This novel is X- Ray image of our society."

Title of the novel is very symbolic. Through the reading readers can't understand the meaning of the title but at the end it is really very symbolically represented the core of the novel.

In this novel we find satire on politics and system. We can say that novel has the plot of politics. Though it has some furious senses, it remains pathetic till the end. The protagonist Karunashakar himself becomes the victim of the system who is against of this system. Karunashankar is used by politicians as manageable commodity. and he becomes scapegoat of them. ‘Madhav Kyay Nathi !

‘Madhav Kyay nathi’ is written by very renowned writer Harindra Dave. The title of the novel – itself suggest something. I think there are two aspect of the title. First , he is not at any particular place means that he is omniscient . And second meaning is that he is no where!

The plot of the novel also deals with this idea and gradually reveals the whole events of Krishna’s life. The story of the novel reveals not only Krishna’s journey from his birth but also with him we find the journey of Naradmuni who wants to meet Krishna but unfortunately he can’t.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin

Uncle Tom’s Cabin is the best novel of Harriet Beacher Stowe. It is story of slavery - African people who are not considered as human beings. The novel divided into 26 chapters and each chapter has its own pain and suffering. No doubt , the central figure of the novel is Uncle Tom who is portrayed as the most generous , kind and gentle in the whole novel.

Reading the novel , readers feel their pain and compassion also. Mrs. Harriet Beacher Stowe describe the condition of African American People who is considered as Black and Slave. White people believe that Black are not human beings . They have no heart, no feelings and emotions. White thinks that they have right to rule over them. It starts with smoothly conversation between husband and wife. then it moves with flashback technique. What is the meaning of life ? we have to find out. but Luckily people have their own and different answers. Life is meant to be journey only. I found the anxiety of Existentialism in story. Sometimes, Characters are not able to understand their own voices which come from within as sometimes we also fail to understand.

મરણટીપમાં ..........નિર્ણયમાંથી જન્મતી હળવાશની વાત નથી. કોઈ ઉકેલની વાત અહી નથી, ધુંધળી મન:સ્થિતિમાં, સંઘર્ષમાં, એકબીજા છે. બન્ને જણ ......જાણે કે કશાક અગમ્ય તત્વનાં સોગટાં છે. જીવન પ્રવાહમાં બન્ને અવશપણે તણાય છે. બંન્ને નિ :સહાય છે ,બન્નેની અવસ્થા કાબૂ બહાર છે.
