Why Bert Adams Boys 2, not just Bert Adams Boys
The original Bert Adams Boys website (2010-14) vanished from the internet. I have tried in vain to contact Tom Watson, the webmaster, to try to re-establish his site. I sincerely hope that ill health, or worst, has not stricken Tom. He was a Great Scout! Luckily I found a good portion of his website content archived and using the archived webpages I have reconstructed as much of the site as possible. Some original content, that was linked from within pages other than the home page, like Staff Photos, Campfire Tales, membership, etc. were not available from archive, so they may be lost forever. I also could not access the "Members Page." Please notify me if I have published any copyrighted material and I will remove it immediately. I believe the value of this site should be preserved for both present and past Bert Adams Boys... and Girls too!

October 30, 2015 Update: I have located an obituary for George Thomas Watson, April 14, 1941 - March 13, 2014, who lived in the Nashville Tennessee area. I believe this obituary is for the creator of the original "Bert Adams Boys" website. Rest in Peace Tom Watson.

This site is dedicated to all those boys-- now men-- who learned many of the lessons of life at summer camp-- both as campers or staff members, either at the "old" camp or the "new" one.
It was created for a lot of reasons-- nostalgia and fellowship high on the list-- but also to hopefully make a record of the times-- good and bad-- that make up our camping experiences. Sort of an on-going history of Camp Bert Adams if you will.
Each of you with a connection to Camp Bert Adams is invited to become a member of this site-- it's free to join-- and this will allow you to upload your own pictures to share with others, along with your own "Campfire Tales" about the events and people in your camping experiences. It will also allow you to find out "whatever happened" to your old pals from camp, many years ago.
The vision of this site is flexible. Based on your input and participation, we can also add in forums, newsfeeds- whatever the membership feels a need for.
Hopefully from all of this could also evolve sort of an "old boys" group that could perhaps chip in for camperships or do something special at Bert Adams-- a way to pass on our good fortune to have been staff or campers at the best camp ever.

The bugler had a large megaphone hanging between two trees, and he would put the bugle up to the megaphone. He would blow first toward the huts, and then he would rotate the megaphone and blow in different directions so it could be heard all over camp.
There's a 1960 Marietta Daily Journal newspaper article below shows Bill Orange and Randy Rakestraw paddling on the lake and looking over the lake from the lakeside council ring.
