Yoav Sapir
Born in 1979 in Haifa, Israel. Studied German Literature and History in Jerusalem, Vienna, Heidelberg and Berlin; wrote his twice award-winning MA thesis on the Representation of Jews in the Feature Films of the GDR. Now lives in Berlin, where he works as a translator and tour guide.

Joseph Dana
Born in 1981 and studied Modern Jewish Studies at the University of Maryland, Joseph is currently working on his MA at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Jewish Emancipation, Modernity and the Philosophy of Spinoza. Before his life in academia, Joseph was an accomplished rock climber and mountain guide. Joseph and his girlfriend are currently researching the problematic of American Jewish identity and its relationship to the state of Israel.

Sophie Zimmer
Born in 1983 in Brussels, studied German studies at the Paris Sorbonne University (Paris IV) and at the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg. She has written an MA thesis on the German Jewish writer Kurt Tucholsky and an M. Phil. thesis on the correspondence of Arnold Zweig. During her studies she has been living in Lille, Paris, Heidelberg and Brussels and now intends to pursue her Ph.D. between Paris and Berlin.
