THANK YOU LETTER
20 Years International Guitar Competition & Festival Berlin
2006 – 2026
Dear friends of classical guitar music,
Dear supporters of the International Guitar Competition & Festival Berlin,
Dear sponsors, artists, jury members, helpers and guests from Berlin, Germany, Vietnam and all over the world,
20 years of the International Guitar Competition & Festival Berlin – that is 20 years of passion for music, of encounters between people and cultures, and of joint commitment to young guitar talents around the world.
On October 10, 2026, we celebrated together the 20th anniversary of our Festival and the 10th International Guitar Competition Berlin. This was not only a musical event, but also a moving moment to look back, to express our gratitude and to feel the connection among all of us.
Since its foundation in 2006, it has always been our aim to provide opportunities for young guitarists to develop, to build musical bridges between cultures and to bring classical guitar music closer to an international audience. That we have been able to walk this path together for two decades is thanks to the people who have accompanied us with trust, enthusiasm and dedicated support.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all sponsors and patrons, jury members, artists, helpers, media representatives and especially to our beloved audience. Thank you for your financial contribution, your time, your ideas, your efforts and your encouraging applause. Every contribution, whether large or small, has helped to make the festival a special place of musical encounter.
We would also like to extend our special thanks to our international guests and to all guitarists who have enriched the festival with their talent, passion and cultural diversity.
Twenty years is an important milestone, and at the same time a reminder of what people can create together through music. Starting in 2006, the festival has grown thanks to many helping hands, open hearts and love for the guitar.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of you for becoming part of this meaningful shared journey.
With deep gratitude and kind regards,
Jürgen Buch
