Short Bio

I'm currently a CNRS Researcher within the Robotics, Data science, and Healthcare technologies Team within the ICube Laboratory, University of Strasbourg

Between September 2015 and December 2016, I was a Research Fellow within the Pediatric Cardiac Bioengineering Lab, within Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Before that (2013-2015), I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Robot Assisted Surgery group, within the Mechanical Engineering department of the KU Leuven in Belgium.

I obtained my Ph.D. in 2013 from Pierre & Marie Curie University, Paris (now Sorbonne University), under the supervision of Pr. Guillaume Morel and Pr. Jerome Szewczyk. This PhD was awarded the best PhD thesis award by the CNRS research group on robotics for the year 2013.

Prior to that, I got my Engineering Degree (eq. to a Masters Degree) in Ecole Centrale Paris. I did my thesis at the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics (Pierre & Marie Curie University), under the supervision of Jerome Szewczyk and Pierre Mozer.

My work focuses on robotics for minimally invasive surgery. I have a strong interest in the design and control of miniature, distally-actuated and flexible systems for surgery, novel actuation mechanisms and image-guided control.
