Your study on the fast-X is just published in Biology Letters. In this work, we propose that the high Dn/Ds of the X-linked protein-coding genes (the so-called Fast-X) could be a consequence of their low expression level. Interestingly, we also found an extensive between autosome variation in both expression level and Dn/Ds (see Figure 1).
