The publication "Comparative population genomics in animals uncovers the determinants of genetic diversity" just came out in Nature : http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/nature13685.html !!

This large and, hopefully, very important study analyses most of the data generated during the ERC-POPPHYL project. It demonstrates that the level of genetic diversity of a given species is quite well predicted by body-mass and, more surprinsingly, by parental investment. Species with high parental investment typically have a low genetic diversity compare to similar size species with high fecundity.

I would like to thank all the collaborators of this work and, especially, Nicolas Galtier who gave me the opportunity to be a part of it.
