Behavioural Ecology lab is always happy to welcome both domestic and international students to pursue higher degree research within the School of Natural Sciences of Macquarie University. If you are interested in working with spiders and insects, send an email along with your CV to Mariella Herberstein or contact any other lab member.
Current projects
There are several projects are currently available including:
1) The evolution of inaccurate mimicry in ant-mimics
2) Sperm transfer dynamics in spiders
3) Predator-prey interactions (aposematism, camouflage)

Graduate candidates and Post Docs, interested in the mentioned projects or have their own research ideas are strongly encouraged to join us. We would love to hear your thoughts and discuss potential research topic. Highly motivated graduate students with an interest to study animal behaviour are welcome to apply for the academic year 2023 or later.
