On May 29, 2010, we rode the California Western Skunk Train in Ft. Bragg, California.

We rode the Roaring Camp & Big Trees railroad near Felton, California, in the mountains between Santa Cruz and San Jose, but I’m having trouble finding my pictures. In addition to the coastal redwoods and Shay locomotive, a particularly interesting feature of this railroad is that it snakes its way up a steep section of Bear Mountain using switchbacks.
