If I have to describe 先生 Beatty's class is would have to be: it can be lots of fun and it really can be and you feel welcomed and not like a stranger to anybody and you get to know your classmates really well and all around is a really good class.
It’s very enjoyable and it can help you learn a cool language
Something worth the effort and time needed for it.
It's pretty hands on and you need to really keep up with the material or you won't know what anyone's talking about.
Relaxed and project/practice based as opposed to a standard test/quiz based school environment. You have the opportunity to learn through playing games.
It is fun but you must stay on top of your work

Intense. There's a lot of work, and a lot of websites to keep track of. Despite how intense it is, it's really rewarding to be able to communicate with a new portion of the world and slowly begin to understand what is being said.
There is always a lot to learn.
Challenging and fun with a touch of chaos.
Intense, but manageable. Very chaotic.
A fun hard class that you will either fall behind in or do well in
Very interactive, requires you to be on top of things but also teaches you the foundation of the entire language, making it easier to grow your knowledge outside of class
It's only fun when you participate, fail and immediately get roasted from sensei.
Its a fun class when you know what you are doing and if you want to learn Japanese
Awesome. It's my favorite class and I'm glad it's my first class of the day. It's also fun to learn Japanese, it's a beautiful language. Sensei knows how to keep the class occupied for the entire period, which is something I admire in a teacher.
It's a fun class that's all about communication. it may seem difficult at first glance, but it quickly becomes easy when you recognize the language patterns.
IT IS REALLY HARD.
A class of making friends while learning a useful new language.
So much fun!!!!! And be prepared to work hard.
Very fast paced
Harder than my ap class
Interesting for people who want to actually learn Japanese and really challenging for people who take this class only for the credit.
its hard but not if you put in the work
Previous students' comments
Easy going depending on if you do homework and study
It is hard but fun, you are never bored.
A bit challenging but nowhere near impossible.
It is very interesting and full of surprises.
This class challenges your learning abilities, so if you don’t like to be challenged then this class is not for you.
If you don’t like working for things don’t take this class
Interesting with the sheer difference between the Japanese language and the English language.
Japanese 1 is the most challenging class I take, but it is really fun and different from my other classes.
This class is fun and everyone is willing to help to you if you need it
Difficult, but ultimately worth it. Also: always make time for it, every day.
It's fun but can be challenging.
Sensei's chill and Japanese is THE EASIEST language in comparison to any of the others offered at Rock Bridge.
just get through hiragana and it's all smooth sailing from there, man.
It’s fun if you put the work into it
The class is a lot of fun and is actually pretty easy as long as you do your work
Weird. You never know what you will do, what will happen, and what you will learn. You’ve got to work, but it's
worth it. By the end of the year you get to know everyone in the class pretty well and you have so much fun
because everyone is friends.
It is challenging, but if you stick it out, the later years will be amazing
It's a fun, high-energy class where you learn Japanese. (Or maybe that's just my class.) The teacher is definitely cooler than most teachers. (That's a plus++)
It's somewhat atypical in terms of a language class, probably due to the eccentric teacher.
I think that I'd say that it is very 'vibrant'. We're always working on something and thinking about what we're learning. It's a really good class for challenging your preconceptions about language, since it's so different from any of the romance languages. It's most certainly not boring, and oftentimes very exciting.
Very fun but also rigorous
It's very interesting. You can NOT slack off from your work.
Take it if you're up to a challenge and if you’re willing to work hard and learn.
Challenging, but very enjoyable if you try.
The class places great importance on learning to have useful conversations in Japanese, so you will practice speaking often and sometimes on your own time.
Japanese is easy as long as you take proper notes and have no problem doing homework
Sometimes difficult, but you learn a lot.
Very hard and rigorous but rewarding
This class is a challenge, but it is incredibly rewarding, and you will make friends that you will have for the rest of
your life.
