"Gabinat" - Tirano 5 january at 3:00 PM
It is a tradition , probably of Swiss or German origin ( in German " Gabe - Nacht " meaning night of the gifts ) , which takes place every year on January 5th. Exactly at the stroke of 3:00 PM, the first tolling of the church bells of the country, children leave home alone or in small groups and go from house to house greeting all those who encounter with the ancient expression of good wishes " Gabinat ! ". It is a contest of speed and cunning, where he won the first between the two that can pronounce the word " Gabinat ! ". The winner is entitled to receive a gift as a reward for the good wishes, usually sweets, nuts and various small gifts. Pay " Gabinat " is a matter of honor and that the loser will have to pay off the debt .
Feast of the Epiphany - Tirano 5 January 8:30 PM
At the Basilica della Madonna di Tirano square will take place the traditional Feast of the Epiphany. Adults and children await the arrival of the old witchBefana that will bring sweets and candy for all children. A Follow a fireworks show.
Tobogganing in the moonlight with the Red Train
An extraordinary experience on board the Bernina Express on a moonlit night along the Bernina and Albula line. A spectacular journey from Tirano ( starting 5:40 PM ) in Preda and back for a thrilling toboggan ride down to Bergün ( 6 km of pure fun !! )

WHITE TURF ST. MORITZ - INTERNATIONAL HORSE RIDES ON SNOWS SINCE 1907
During the first three Sundays of February on the frozen lake of St. Moritz, international trotting and galloping races are held, as well as the Skikjöring, a world exclusive.

The Tirano's Carnival is celebrated the first Sunday after Ash Wednesday because, with a papal dispensation, the Ambrosian calendar is followed which allows to present the Carnival in Lent.
Is planned a parade of floats and masked groups along the Viale Italia which is the main avenue that crosses the city.
The arrival of the procession is planned in one of the main squares where you play various games both for adults and children alike. It all ends with the awarding of floats and masked groups of the most beautiful .
Brusa la vegia
The night of the Carnival parade, according to the tradition that once saw burning of weeds in each district,
with the dark, in a safe area at Rodun, the bonfire which is burnt la vegia.
La vegia (the old witch), who at the time was being prosecuted in a court before being burnt to death, rapresent the bad things of the life to be deleted.

Festival of Pizzoccheri - Teglio (SO)
It is the oldest event tellina in honor of the local dish in use throughout the valley : it takes place in the beautiful pine forest and provides precisely the tasting of pizzoccheri ( rustic black flour noodles with vegetables , seasoned with butter and Alpine cheese ) and other products of Valtellina gastronomy.
