1976-08-13 — Cubs win in the bottom of the 15th! And the game only took 3hr46min! This was game 1 of a double-header; we did not stay for game 2.

1976-10-02 — Burris complete game. Madlock wins 2nd straight batting title (so of course the Cubs traded him in the off-season!).

1977-06-26 — Cubs, at 45 - 22, in 1st place by 7 games! (sigh….) Box seats go up another 50 cents to $5.00! Ernie inducted into HOF!

1979-06-30 — What a game! Tied 3 - 3 after 9, there is a long rain delay. In the 11th, the Mets score 6 runs! Is the game over? No way! In the bottom of the 11th, the Cubs get a run and then Mike Vail hits a pinch-hit grand slam! 5 runs! But it's not enough; Cubs lose 9 - 8. The 11 runs in the 11th is the most ever scored in an extra inning!
