Variations on Jane Austen

Raymond Queneau published his 'Exercices de Style' in 1947. He took a banal story and retold it in 99 different ways.

Borrowing this technique, I have rewritten one of the best known sentences in English literature in 66 different styles, including a number of parodies.

The links on the right will take you to each variation.

Queneau is grouped with the  OULIPO writers.
