Meet ATOM.. He is a Biped robot with 6 Servo motors. Though he has lesser Degrees of Freedom (DOF) than an actual human leg, he has the necessary DOF to walk.
ATOM has two servos for ankle, two for the knee and two for the hip joint. They are controlled with BasicATOM Pro micro-controller. Sequential control of these motors allow him to walk.
He has also been given a SHARP IR Sensor so that he can walk around without banging into any obstacle and a 2-Axis Accelerometer for fall detection.
