– Nolan Bushnell
“The moment you are ready to quit is usually the moment right before a miracle happens. Don't give up..”
An enthusiastic roboticist with an aptitude for Computer Vision, Robot interaction and Artificial Intelligence. I like designing robots and sensor based systems. I've designed some autonomous robots with the integration of various sensors and also some manual robots. I've also worked on design and control of biped robots. I hold a Bachelor's in Mechatronics from SASTRA University, India. I did my Research Internship in Örebro University, Sweden, where I was working under the supervision of Dr. Amy Loutfi on "Distributed Object Recognition" and "Improving Perceptual Anchoring via Dialogue".
I did my Master's in Systems, Control & Robotics at KTH The Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. During summer 2015, I worked as a Research Engineer at CVAP - Computer Vision and Active Perception Lab and was involved in a sub-project of the Project STRANDS. I was also Teaching Assistant for the courses Image Analysis and Computer Vision and Systems and Control in Practice during the second year of my Master's program. I completed my Master's thesis under the supervision of Dr. Marco Hutter at Robotic Systems Lab in ETH Zürich, Switzerland on "Autonomous wrench handling for Emergency Response Robots".
I started my career in DENSO Corporation as a Computer Vision Engineer at DENSO ADAS, Lindau, Germany. This provided me with exposure to solving more real-world challenges in the Automotive field by imparting intelligence to automobiles and enabling them to sense their complex environment. During this time I had the opportunity to go on Expatriation to DENSO Headquarters in Kariya, Japan for close collaboration with the Japanese development team. Presently, I'm working as Senior ADAS Engineer at DENSO Automotive Deutschland, Munich, Germany.
My hobbies and interests are numismatics, cooking, pencil sketching, traveling, hiking and working on DIY tech projects.
