Welcome to Algebra 3/4 & Geometry 1/2 with Dr. Baber school year 2023-24

This year we will be fully back in the classroom and I will post all classroom material in  Canvas.

We will be working on building a strong community of learners in both algebra & geometry in the classroom. This year I have the opportunity to work with a new textbook in both Algebra and Geometry. These text are from Illustrative Mathematics . This is the new adoption for the district. I was involved in the district math adoption team and believe it is the best choice of the two adoption choices for our students. The program from Illustrative Mathematics or IM includes texts that students write in and an online piece. I am excited to share the program with students and get their feedback on it. Canvas is a learning management system that allow me to post all work and resources in one place and will have links to our text and the online program.  Students can log on to their Canvas account through the PPS student portal at https://sites.google.com/apps4pps.net/portal/pps-student-portal

If we need to go back to online, I will use Zoom (video conferencing platform). We have one Zoom classroom location (just like a physical classroom) so students always know where I am on the web. The address to my Zoom classroom is https://ppsnet.zoom.us/my/drbabersclass
