---------------------------------------------------------
1. SUBSCRIBING
There are 2 ways:
Use the Google groups web site to subscribe, or
Email a message (subject/message text don't matter) to ba-acappella+subscribe@googlegroups.com . (Note the "+" in the address.) You should then get a welcome message back. In particular, this email method allows subscribing from any email address, as long as you can validate the received message.
2. POSTING POLICY
Since ba-acappella has hundreds of subscribers, please be thoughtful about your postings.
Observe these two rules:
Postings should be about concerts, auditions, groups, and other subjects related to a cappella music in the Bay Area. Nothing that is not relevant to the Bay Area.
Include a location (at least a region such as "north bay"; a city is better) in the subject line of every post.
Announcements of performances are a main topic of interest to the community. Please don't hesitate to post information about a show. Subscribers are all over the bay!
3. HOW TO POST MESSAGES
After subscribing, there are two ways to send a message to the mailing list:
Use the Google groups web site, clicking on "New Conversation", or
Just email your message to ba-acappella@googlegroups.com (after you are already a member, using a "from" email address that matches your subscription)
4. UNSUBSCRIBING
There are two ways to unsubscribe:
Use the Google groups web site to unsubscribe (use the "my settings" menu in the upper right corner of the main page.)
