Urban Harmony

Urban Harmony Movement was a former outreach from the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA). The two adult choruses that remain strong in the Bay Area are listed on this page.

Feel the excitement of harmony, share your favorite songs, and tingle with the thrill of performing! No experience is necessary, everyone is welcome and there are no auditions and no fees.

Stop by one of our rehearsals.

  • East Bay Harmony, director@eastbayharmony.org, 510-435-5236, (Oakland): East Bay Harmony is a mixed a cappella chorus that offers an opportunity to all to experience the joy of singing in harmony with others, learn and improve musical skills, and promote music in a warm, welcoming community. With no auditions required, EBH embraces popular music as a source of enjoyment and connection that can be shared by all, regardless of background or musical experience. The group rehearses on Mondays from 7 to 9 pm at St. Paul's Church in Oakland, 116 Montecito (near Lake Merritt).
  • Peninsula Harmony Chorus, info@PeninsulaHarmony.org, (408) 839-1051, (Los Altos): Peninsula Harmony Chorus, directed by Jonathan Ho, is a community a cappella, mixed-gender, SATB chorus centered in Los Altos, California. We've been singing together for over fifteen years. We welcome singers of any age who enjoy singing and who agree with our mission of "Creating harmony through harmony." We believe that music brings great therapeutic value for both the singers and those who just listen. We also believe in inclusiveness. Everyone can sing! Rehearsals are on Mondays 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Los Altos Lutheran Church, 460 S. El Monte Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022
